Auburn Beats Clemson in 9th

The Tigers rallied in the 9th to beat Clemson last night at Plainsmen Park. Going into the bottom half of the 9th the score was 5-3, three singles later the lead was cut to 5-4. A third balk of the game by Clemson and a walk loaded the bases. Four pitches later the game was tied as relief pitcher, Stephen Clyne walked Russell Dixon. Philip Stringer batted in the winning run with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the inning, and Auburn won an exciting game to open the 3 game series with #24 Clemson. The battle of the Tigers begins again at 4pm on Saturday.
